The pig iron from blast furnace is easily broken with the Fractum technology. Due to the very high precision of the Fractum hammers, it is possible to break the material into a size that makes it very economical to use in the steel making process. It is possible to break the pig iron at the location where it is placed, which reduces or even avoids expensive transportation costs.

When combined to a quick coupler, the operator is able to place the material so that the breaking process is done quickly and with a quality that is yet unseen with the use of drop ball installations. Some of our customers break the material into sizes of 50 cm x 50 cm x 50 cm and this with a capacity that is around the double of the normal capacity of a traditional drop ball.
